Some Loans
become Grants. We'll show you how!
Cost
Effective College can help you find a grant that
matches your financial need. The biggest, and often
the most changeable college grant is the need-based
Federal Pell Grant which remains at $4,050 for the 2006-2007
school year. The Pell Grant is determined by a student's
Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and available to
undergraduate students or those enrolled in post baccalaureate
courses required for teacher certification. Those
eligible for the Pell may qualify for a loan that becomes
a grant! That's the
best there is.

College
Work-Study
One
of the most lucrative programs available today is the
Federal Work-Study Program. While not classified
as a grant, the program allows you to earn hundreds
of dollars each month while working on campus. The program
is administered through the school's financial aid department,
but the money earned is neither taxed nor counted as
income when you reapply for financial aid in the future.
We'll tell you how it works. It's a win-win for
everyone!
New
for Stafford Loans
The revised Teacher Forgiveness Program allows the cancellation
of up to $17,500 of a student's expensive Stafford Loan.
