100% of your student     loan may be forgiven.

See details in The College Trap.

Uncle Sam's Number One Grant!

The biggest, and often the most changeable college grant is the need-based Federal Pell Grant.  ($4,050 for the 2007-2008 school year.)  Based on your EFC, if you qualify for a Pell, you may also qualify for a loan that becomes a grant.  That means 100% of your loan plus all the interest can be forgiven!

College Work-Study

One of the most lucrative programs available today is the Federal Work-Study Program.  While not classified as a grant, the program allows you to earn hundreds of dollars each month while working on campus. The program is administered through the school's financial aid department, but the money earned is neither taxed nor counted as income when you reapply for financial aid in the future. We'll tell you how it works.  It's a win-win for everyone!
